GMV is a privately owned technological enterprise group with an international presence. Founded in 1984, GMV mainly operates in nine large sectors for both public and private organisations: Aeronautics, Space, Defence, Health, Security, Transportation, Telecommunications and Information Technologies.

GMV is a major supplier of mission analysis and advanced system engineering software and services to a large variety of customers: ESA, Astrium, AAS, Eutelsat, New Skies Satellites, Telespazio, Space Systems / Loral, BSS, etc. GMV has carried out mission analysis and engineering studies on single satellites, co-located satellites, satellite constellations, satellites flying in formation, satellites in Earth orbit, satellites in interplanetary orbits, and satellites in other planetary orbits. Since the mid-80s, GMV has participated in one way or another in almost every mission flown by the European Space Agency (ESA).

GMV has developed Software products according to different standards, military, civil aviation and ESA, since 1987. By the mid nineties there was already a generalized awareness within GMV of the importance of setting up a quality system for all its developments through the adaptation of civil and military standards being used for its software projects.

Experience in SW development at GMV spans a large variety of areas such as real time systems, data processing, on-board SW, communications SW, databases, MMI, algorithms implementation, etc. Large SW products -of hundreds of thousands lines of code- are routinely developed by GMV for all its business areas, including satellite control centres, data processing systems, safety critical systems, simulators, etc.

GMV has subsidiaries in Spain (Madrid, Valladolid, Seville, Tenerife, Valencia and Barcelona), Portugal and the USA. Our headquarters are in Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain.
